Caveat: I'm a co-founder of Dev Bootcamp ( http://devbootcamp.com ), so I have strong opinions. :D "The problem is this: somehow we mutated universities into a place where everyone goes in order to get a job." No, I don't think that's fair.

Lots of larger firms participate in seed rounds with six-figure checks, as a kind of option on investing in the Series A. As the size of seed rounds comes back to Earth this will be less likely to happen.

Notice how many people on this page expressed the exact same thing, though. Even if you change it to 3, people still won't know how to change it or even that it can be changed . Now "3" just seems like an arbitrary decision. Why 3? Why

I think most people who type quickly anticipate the words they're going to type in the middle of a prior word -- I know I do. The "unit" of typing is something larger than a word. I think most typing tutors give you the words coming up to

I totally agree. Dev Bootcamp gives out our own custom prep material about a month before a cohort starts. You're interacting with other students and staff online starting then. Our prep material covers everything from the basics of progr

Open and free access to high-quality curriculum is amazing, but I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that "in the future" education will be online-only, and certainly not in the short-to-medium term. There are so many things that go int

At both Everlane ( http://everlane.com ) and Dev Bootcamp ( http://devbootcamp.com ) we made a conscious decision early on not to call our customers "users." It's a surprisingly hard habit to break, but it's important. Being specific clari
