The problem is that they keep expanding the list of emails and auto-subscribing everyone to each new one. So LinkedIn really is behaving like a bad-faith spammer. And when I click the "unsubscribe" link in the email, I don't get one-click u

I like the gradient-free white-on-blue version, on the right side of: http://digital.coolspringspress.com/rp_columns_images/images... That one seems to hit all their design objectives while still looking nice.

He buried the lede! In fact, no one has proved that any particular number is normal. However, we do know that almost all numbers are normal. That is, the set of non-normal numbers has Lebesgue measure zero.

So instead of settling the matter early using something like a vesting schedule and then moving on, you're supposed to continually argue about what coefficients to assign to your contributions in some equity formula?

How is this a case for a degree? It's really a case for being educated , a case for studying your field and understanding concepts like "finite state machine". You don't have to go to college to get that, and lots of people seem to get thr

No, I calculated the error rate for the region. If us-east-1 has 5 times the machines (or availability zones, or routers, or EBS backplanes, or other thing-that-can-fail) as us-west-1, we would expect to see us-east-1 have each type of erro

Yeah, it's got to be much larger than the other regions, so it makes sense that we see more errors. Since error_rate = machines * error_rate_per_machine.
