Has a causal relationship been demonstrated from nuts to health, or is this only a correlation? Couldn't it be that health-conscious people are healthier on average, and they usually choose to snack on nuts instead of snacking on somet

I tried to login to Hackpad with Google, and it's asking for permission to "manage my contacts"? No thanks.

The whole point of it is to avoid telling the court and defense about unconstitutional search procedures that were used, i.e. omitting them.

Or maybe they just realized they couldn't really legally justify the the "parallel reconstruction" thing where they basically lie to the court through omission.

Kind of weird that this even needs to be said. Do most people really have that strong of a fetish for authority? Experts/advisors have lots of experience in general, but you have more experience with your specific situation. Someone wh

Definition of "hacker": http://www.catb.org/jargon/html/H/hacker.html A "developer" is usually someone who just codes for money, isn't into it, and therefore probably sloppy.

Thanks for the response. So decimal-in-silicon doesn't matter for scientific computing after all. :)

The original post that started this thread was saying that chips should support decimal floating point natively in silicon instead of only base-2 floating point. Yes, those are different things: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki

Arbitrary precision != decimal. So the question still stands, why would decimal matter?

Right, and I can see why that's a problem in accounting, but why does it matter for scientific computing? I do a fair amount of stuff that could be called scientific computing, and I just use doubles. If I need to keep track of uncerta
