He mentions this in passing on the Mindscape podcast (with Sean Carroll). Essentially, he's read too many studies that have participants perform so called 'rational' tests whose outcomes are largely a function of the environ

> Gravity isn’t a force in general relativity. More importantly, GR has nothing to say about forces at all.

I encountered this and wrote about it in other meditation thread. Here I've inlined it below. Meditation is a blade with no hilt. I _accidentally_ fell into a vipassana state of mind after the first time trying a particular religious

My hope is that those illustrate the 'spirit of the law' of taking both responsibilities equally serious. An issue is when middle management, so often comprised of literally minded number crunchers, interferes.

JIT works great here too. It would see iteration and the associated mathematical calculations as a hotspot, and optimize only those parts, which is easy since the arrays are statically typed and sized. I say this as a Computer Scientist at

Algorithms II is typically a mathematical proof class about algorithms. At my university, it was used as a filter class, and quite demanding. I think it was also 4 credits.

The Hubble was pointed at what appeared to be a black void of space, and revealed lush fields of stars and galaxies. So at one degree of perception, we have an empty void, and at another, a bright flush of light and activity.
