I have worked in the medical device industry building ultrasound systems for twenty years. In general, there are thousands of regulations that must be satisfied. Some specifications that must be met include ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601 3

With respect, I think you're speculating here. For example, the FDA and other agencies are concerned with the effects of transmitting energy into the human body. Medical devices like ultrasound systems are not toys. I don't mean t

You would also need approval in the EU and in other countries around the world. There are many standards that medical devices must meet. It takes a pretty good sized company to do all things that must be done in order to actually design, ma

With respect, I'm struggling a bit with your last paragraph. I live in Kirkland and I'm dating a woman who lives in West Seattle. We're older, but it's not like we're people who couldn't easily date other peopl

I would welcome some additional clarity on your use of the term capitalism, as there are many different things called capitalism today. My definition is a system of free, un-coerced trade among individuals, to mutual advantage. It's ve

I don't take offense to your comment regarding paranoia. The question, I think, is this: If you have worked all your life, and played by the rules that existed at the time, how do you protect what you have earned from theft by others?

You are absolutely correct when you say the money is not given to the government, but to third-party entities. The government can dictate terms to those entities, however, and they will comply. For example, when the government made the owne

I do not contribute to my retirement accounts anymore. It may be an error on my part, but giving an entity that is more than $100T in debt (unfunded liabilities included) seems foolish. I expect retirement accounts to be nationalized, in on

There are times when I either don't have access to the Internet, or my service is very slow. During those times, the apps on my phone are still useful, albeit, degraded in some respects. I'd still rather have that than nothing.

I appreciate your thoughtful comment. With respect to the law enforcement example, the access there is to non-public data. That seems like an essential difference to me, but perhaps you're citing this situation in preparation for your
