None. OracleJDK11+ doesn't allow non licensed production use in commercial settings. Otherwise the builds are nearly identical.

I wonder if it is just because of the fact that Norway has mountains. The risk of going to fast downhill, plus gravel is an issue without any risks of cars. When living in Norway I remember that this was an issue even on a place where there

This was not pulling the rug from under you. This was them clearly stating they where going to pull the rug, you ignoring all their shouts, signs and warnings and then blundering. I think the onus is on us for not reading and listening.

Yes, although quite interestingly C suffered from the same lack of steady state reaching as the Java code due to something in Malloc (see part 1). As well as suffering from optimizations in a compiler actually making existing code slower (o

And Java is moving into this world as well. It always had multiple implementations but mostly people used the Sun and then Oracle binaries. Now they are saying get your implementation from your linux vendor (e.g. gcc like) or pay us (intel

Java 9 is already no longer supported. If you haven't moved yet go directly to 11. As after 11 there are no features in OracleJDK that are not in OpenJDK I would think moving to the vendor supported (Open)JDK on your linux system is th

Actually it works if you use a recent eclipse ejc for compiling the JSPs. i.e. tomcat 8+ will be ok with such feature use like default methods.

And even if you don't do any bussiness with them. Oracle can sue anyone, they sue a lot. Like most companies they only do so if they think they can make a profit. They could sue you, with a higher chance of winning, for using a python

Better, depends on tradeoff's. RefCounting misses a key feature that ZGC, C4, Shenandoah and other Java GCs do (but not e.g. GO) and that is compacting. Secondly when accessing ref counted objects concurrently ref counting needs to be

Exactly, considering the nuclear power plants where a vague promise from 2007 to have a nuclear power plant at all. A promise that has now been revoked. Now let's see if solar can meet it's promises.

Or get an JDK from Azul or RedHat or another JDK provider e.g. IBM. All it says if you want to get a new Oracle JDK 8 once JDK11 is out you will need to pay, if one gets it from somewhere else ask them not Oracle.
