C# and Java are kind of in the same space, they tend to pick up the same kind of features. But not always in the same way e.g. Records are different between the two languages. As is the path to Async. Java benefits from more experimentatio

Adding to this great comment. Switzerland, default rules regarding termination (if I recall correctly). * first month of work, 0 second notice * rest of the first year of work, 1 month notice * second year of work, 2 months notice *

There are more, and they are immediate. And nearly always lead to a lawsuit, because it is only for grave errors in judgement. i.e. theft, violence, endangering co-workers, fraud, misrepresentations to the board and such. So when this is tr

Not quite true see at least article 5 of the Swiss law granting it. https://www.fedlex.admin.ch/eli/cc/2009/541/fr . 45 organizations in Switzerland have been given roughly equivalent rights, and more exi

Silicon valley has the benefit of long term investment and also being a single centre for all of the US market. EU single market is not nearly as well integrated as the US in practical terms e.g. basic language barriers. Decades of "in

I can't parse if this is humour or a mistake. Putting your fingers on the live pin is not a great idea, trying this to get an euro 15 plug into an UK socket, also not great but in a different category.

Considering this has the same basic structure of an edge (quad) and label (resource) table like the TripleStores of 2009 why would you expect any better performance of this than from those?

Do you think that the organizations that couldn't bother to take into account a 1 in 20 winter would build safe and secure nuclear? Also consider the amount of battery storage arriving onto the Texas grid in the next few years. If that

I just want to add. It's quite common in carpentry to work with 120cm base wood. Which devides just as nice. And even then it's easier to convert when moving into bigger or smaller units.

The steel is still steel a hundred years later. Anyway life time co2 is bounded by project cost. E.g. If you bought coal/gas for the cost of the project how much co2 and energy would you produce. Most estimates are about 3 to 6 months

Well it is not that rigid. You can do code outside of a class/method jshell> var x=8 x ==> 8 jshell> x*3 $2 ==> 24 etc. But I haven't used it either as I never worked with a REPL other than SQL clients.

Q? did you ever try the jShell that comes with java11+. Curious what a REPL power user thinks about it.

Capacity factor is bounded by limited demand. You can't put power on the grid that no one wants. So for an all nuclear grid you end up with a capacity factor that is around 60-70%. (note: France exports/imports a lot so capacity f

So to meet the requirement of the poster I replied too, you need to spend another +/- $1800bn to get to the 500Gw peak power production. What amount of wind and solar can you purchase for that? Considering you have just bought the batt

600 billion = +/- overnight cost of 30 nuclear powerplants (AP-1000). And would struggle with providing 500Gw that the battery above could. At that scale everything is expensive, but the market still seems to say that Nuclear is more e

Get legal advice. If they are not paying you now, they might well not pay other bills like unemployment insurance etc. That can ruin you later. It's not fun but get qualified advice. With whom you can discuss your exact case.
