Can't build ? Why not? Developers in general love their tools (Visual Studio), the language has a huge user base (C#), and they're leveraging a rapidly maturing framework (Silverlight). If anything, when it comes to getting developer min

I hate to lead this further off-topic, but I'm trying to get into Vim myself -- how to you approach having multiple files open? Buffers? Tabs? Windows? The netbeans/visual studio/et. al. tabbed approach has always worked well for me, an

Couldn't you make the same argument for images? I know some sites try to be tricky by disabling right-click, etc., but the same "rule" definitely still applies. Or is it generally believed that images are of less "value" than video?

Right Click -> Inspect says it's two spaces. HTML ignores extra whitespace.

Great technology companies often do. If that's true, at what point does that trait change from an advantage to a liability? Is it purely about openness? Or is it more subjective (e.g. I don't like Silverlight, so Microsoft should supp

One of the biggest criticisms against Microsoft over the years is that they suffer from Not-Invented-Here syndrome. Is it just me, or does Google seem to be increasingly heading down this path? Granted, Google tends to go down the open-sou

It looks like that's about it (other than a few "data-*" attributes thrown in). Unless I'm missing something, there's nothing here that couldn't have been done in HTML 4. HTML 5 is great and all, but please let's not turn it into a marketi

The tutorial is certainly nice; however, I'm guessing that running the following snippet in the ruby tutorial: output = `cd \\etc && cat passwd` puts output shouldn't actually be returning the contents of the passwd file.

I'm sorry, but source? Stats? Anything other than anecdote to back that up? I tried to find some information, but the best I could do was from an article written in 2009 ( http://www.next-gen.biz/news/ps3%E2%80%99s-web-browser-usage... ):

Agreed, but we are talking about the shortest theoretically possible game anyway, so might as well put all options on the table. One could argue that rolling doubles 5 times in the first 7 roles is just as unlikely. :)

I'm not quite sure the author justified tacking 'And Why Microsoft's Still Evil' onto the title. I suppose one could make the argument that 'soulless company' (author's words) equates to 'evil', but if that's the case, then the author shou

Haml does allow for finer-grained control over whitespace, but even if that's not enough, when needed you can still "embed" plain-old html directly inside of your Haml files. I guess I fail to see how html has any advantage over haml. The
