Yes. There are 23+k restaurants, how many of those are "fine-dining"? Put another way, you could go to a different Michelin starred restaurant every week in NYC and still not go through the list... Also, not all Michelin restauran

A restaurant with a Michelin star is a fairly common experience in NYC.

My favorite restaurant is called [Crown Shy]( https://www.crownshy.nyc/ ) after this very thing. Enjoy but please try to keep what little secret is left by not spreading the good word too widely.

Hi! Congrats on launching! We recently evaluated play.ht for TTS but decided against it because you had an async API which was harder to implement. Alternatives have sync APIs (including Google Cloud). Do you have plans to release a sync cl

This looks neat! So it's like super-charged intellisense for something in your code? https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35251029 Looks helpful! What else is on the roadmap?

Interesting. Do you know if anything like this has been built internally at tech cos?

This is cool. I find myself also often taking screenshots and sharing as a convenient source of info. I also feel like when I share the screenshot - via slack, the million messaging clients my various friends / colleagues use, etc. - t

Can’t you accomplish this by just making calendar events? What am I missing?

For many of us who moved from SF->Miami, politics had nothing to do with it. I’ve been in Miami over a year and I LOVE it. Come check it out :-) Ps - I coorganize a software engineer meetup here. We’ve got good representation!

My team landed on a process of breaking projects down into milestones and then tasks and being consistent with buffers for both internal and external parties. As a side project, I actually built a tool to help with this: "Calculeeto&qu

This doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. Google also makes a lot off their apps and circumvents the App Store. Airbnb too. Apple is doing what it thinks is best for its customers. Perhaps people will pick iPhones over Android due to Apples s

This recall is only for the foam face insert. It's removable and probably very inexpensive to make / replace. Oculus is sending free replacements to folks. I am an avid Quest 2 user since ~October. I play Population:one and _love_

I really enjoyed this post and hope I get more like it in the future: - It gave a high level, concise background overview of the base concept (B-trees) complete with diagrams - It talked from first principles about how things worked without

Cool. How does creation of a test work? Through DOM element inspection or screenshot comparison?

by jeremyis 6y ago
Oh wow super interesting - At my last job we had really poor testing and something to visually monitor for breakages would have been perfect. Does this do a screenshot diff between builds? Does it run on CI or periodically?

Exactly - calendar notifications are "more important" than my frequent Clubhouse pings and having them in a more visible place is very helpful.

I don’t think so because the notifications in chrome get buried for me. Email alerts for lost in the deluge of work emails. The Apple Watch helps a lot actually
