I feel like everyone expects a reaction and increased security and such, but sometimes this type of reaction won't be fruitful. What could we learn from this -- check every trash can for a bomb at every big event? There are an unlimited n

Other than Ember Data, it seems like all the pieces here are things that marionette has. I was super interested to read this, swinging more towards marionette myself, just to get a perspective on what convinced you to change. But there real

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you just make a twitter list containing only your VIPs and check that when you want to find out? If I'm not mistaken, all this service does is email you the contents of a twitter list once a day...?

You absolutely nailed it with this comment. Was reading pieces of the debate out loud to my girlfriend, who is rather rational and intelligent but for some reason still wants a diamond ring (and I couldn't really figure out why) - when I re

Also agreed here. I started really getting into programming on rails, and really regret it. The only reason I made it through was because I was an intern full time and had the guidance of a bunch of really smart people available the entire

Well, we all know that the best people at writing code happen to be ninjas (have you read any job descriptions or got any recruiter emails lately?), so I think this may perhaps be the reason. Still open to explanations of why ninjas have an

If you're hosting some sort of blog post, the best way to ensure that all goes well with high traffic is to make it static. Something like jekyll works great for this (publishing especially), and you can host any static site with a node ser

I think where this article falls flat is in it's assumption that there are many hobby passions with which you can't make money. I don't believe this for a second - if you are good enough, you can make money off anything. And being really go
