Couldn't have said it better myself -- this is exactly what I was thinking as I read this article. I was really surprised that they spent so long lamenting the loss of spam and ugly widgets on users' profiles. I remember when they

I upvoted this, but want to also add my opinion in writing that I strongly second this opinion. The company I work at is definitely interested and might be able to contribute, but I'm also strongly interested as an individual. I have a

Anything that pushed native over web in my mind is a step backwards. Let's think about the challenges that come along with native ios apps: - Less accessible. Objective C is a strange, low-level, difficult-to-learn, niche language used

Wow this is super weird, I was just thinking this exact same thing about myself, spacing out and mulling it over in front of my computer screen, then I refocused my eyes and this was the next comment and I read it. Crazy. I'd love to

From the author of http://roots.cx , much love and thanks for including us! We're working super hard on pushing roots further than we've seen any other static site compiler go, so if you are into static sites we'd

Woah, really big difference here. I wish this was up towards the top of the comments so people got both sides of the issue before pointing fingers.

Hey mfjordvald, We were not aware of your article at all, and if it's "basically a copy" it was entirely coincidental. I think the way you're looking at is very negative though -- any and all efforts to improve understan

In my view, you answered your own question with the second sentence. Sysadmins and linux hackers are no doubt familiar with this stuff anyway and used to reading through sysops-style docs and wikis. Many other developers, we assumed, would

Great feedback guys - we'll look this over and probably change it in the article : ) The reason it's as such is because of what @timroman said in his reply, but if this method is no different and scales better no reason not to use
