Wow - you're seriously a hero. Thanks so much for building the test and thanks (even more) for the blog post (especially the legwork on pricing). I look forward to the day when "can we jump on a call?" sales processes are well and truly dea

Namecheap is a fabulous hosting provider. Love 'em. That said, highly-redundant DDOS-resistant DNS infrastructure is not their focus--they offer it as a free service with hosting, but it's best to cough up a few extra bucks and move your

I don't see where it does either - until Blue Toad publishes information about the breach. But even then, as part of the breach investigation, that data may well have been provided to the FBI. That's one purpose of the NCFTA, AFAIK, to serv

Yeah, I get that--in crisis mode, a playbook is almost required to make sure you make no missteps as someone in charge. This is pivotal in, say, security incident response, or a corporate setting where there are all kinds of legal issues, b

Yeah, I feel like it's one thing to offend us, we're adults. It's a little too late and at the very least, we can harangue someone or something or punch 'em in the gulliver and effect a (little) change. But kids? An entirely different thing

It would be very foolish, but I do wonder if they used Hadoop to compare their hashes with publicly exposed hashes after breaches of other sites (for example, Gawker or Zappos) in order to force reset affected users.

So I have a funny wild theory...remember back when the Gawker database was compromised? And LinkedIn forced a password reset for users who (according to what I read) used email addresses that matched the Gawker leak? What if they also (or a
