The BSL is not an OSI-approved license, so it’s certainly not “open source” by the commonly used definition. I agree it’s a reasonable license. But it’s not an open source license.

CockroachDB Core has not been offered under an OSI (i.e. Open Source) license since 2019 - everything subsequently has either been under Business Source License or the Cockroach Community License.

According to Wikipedia, Yugabyte (the company) has taken 290 million dollars of VC money. It's probably a safe assumption that they will follow the same path soon enough.

... that is what I said. Good experience, not scalable. However, transit advocates need to realize that the experience of individual users _does_ matter.

The track has a lot of at-grade intersections with roads running through the mid-peninsula - it seems unlikely they'll be running trains at 80mph.

The Kubernetes code base isn’t great, but the notion that the ecosystem is even nearly as complex as the average EA monstrosity implementing basic forms over data as multi-player Microsoft Access is fanciful at best.

The problem with such rejection is that every serious project written in Go has invented compiler warnings outside the compiler, with linters.
