Not sure if HTML is the ubiquitous programming platform for client side. It's a dream since 1990s (write once for all clients) but fail to compete decidedly by native clients of iOS/Android in this era. It's going to get wors

I would rather they react positively by opening up their iCloud API for web application for third parties. Apple already has such in place as can be seen from their cloud apps at icloud.com.

I think its peak for certain markets such as US, Japan. But it is not so for markets such as China, India, and these requires a lower priced models. That's why Apple is likely to introduce cheaper models in September to sustain its gro

Apple's note does not imply it's a design issue. Just that the software is not ready and bugs are expected.

How will Loom upload those photos captured during offline on iPhone? I suppose Loom will upload the full resolution pictures to their cloud. Since third party app is not able to do background task unlike Photo app/Photostream/iCloud, that m

The recent ones include Heka by Mozilla Services http://blog.mozilla.org/services/2013/04/30/introducing-heka... and Docker http://www.docker.io . Not sure if you'd consider these major and success.

Core Data + NSIncremental store with a web api backend does not solve the problem of offline sync. It is possible to roll your own, its hard to get it right. It is complicated by iOS restriction of not able to run your own daemon. But then

To be fair, Go promises only single version compatibility. Which means all point releases 1.x will be backward compatible. I can see Go 2 breaking compatibility.

Web.go got the most stars because its the first one, and is available before Go 1.0. Revel is modelled after Play and Beego is modelled after Tornido. I feel Revel could be more Go idiomatic. Beego is a light layer on top of the standard Go

About the use of mark up language as config file. I see that in most Python apps, the config file is just another Python script and not using another markup language. This way makes sence in a dynamic language and it feels natural. I unders

It is illegal for telcos to sell locked phones in countries like Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and I believe some more Asian countries. I take it as a pro-consumer or a pro-business decision by a government.

The tech industry has to take the lead by renaming their products: MacBook Pro 33cm, Nexus 18. Using inch for display is a worldwide standard, not just US. It would be strange to look for a 35.5cm notebook or a 100cm HDTV.
