Well, it's pretty obvious when you shouldn't approach. For example, they may be walking quickly possibly deeply preoccupied with something. Basically if you have to step out of your way to introduce yourself, it's probably no

Step one is crucial if you can’t take rejections lightly. However, a lot of people are shy and they tend to look away. I’d say just man up and skip it. But do know when to stop if the other party isn’t reciprocating either through lack of i

If you’ve ever had to deal with various errors or to filter out something and return the appropriate output, it is much more concise. Read past the if’s and you have the main logic of that function. But that max function should have an else

I like it too. No need for confirmation as you’re already accessing your email to login. It’s far more secure as the average user will most likely use the same password as the email to sign up with.

Higher priority should be to mute websites that don't have media content. Two ideas: Either make it permission based like location, or have a master volume setting for sounds like rely on javascript (excluding html5, flash, etc.). I&#x

I’d like to add that a lot of people do diaphragmatic breathing incorrectly. The ultimate goal for utilizing the diaphragm is slow and steady breathing in a controlled manner. I see too many people taking in big gulps of air and exhaling ou

Just curious: Do tech companies “pay” the state so they can try out their latest and greatest? Or do they look for states with the least amount of restrictions?

Reminds me of when I try to unsubscribe to a random newsletter. If it seems tedious to do so, even in the slightest, I don’t even bother googling or looking through the source’s website and ultimately move on. Wonder if this is what fb is t

Oh right! I totally forgot that you could use cookies for JWT. It's been a while, but I think the reason why I didn't think of it was because, if you're using cookies to transport jwt, couldn't you just use signed cookie

Interesting. I’ve mistakenly assumed that there is a relative difference between formal and informal counterparts. Considering the extreme informality of Eastern Asian languages, I didn’t think their formal language was on the opposite end

What do you mean by formal? I’ve always assumed Asian languages to be very informal as a lot of it has to do with context. At least that’s how some of my friends talk to each other. And one of the reasons why it’s so hard to blend in. It co

I don’t know much of the historical details, but whenever I think of a fork, I think of processes. I think that GitHub’s official definition is just a simplification of what happens as a side effect.

Similar experiences here. I get what what I need from a couple of videos and never look back. I wish that lecturers would move to YouTube and structure each lecture as its own instead of having the burden to fit them into a course. For exam

Uneducated individual here. What is the proper term for arguing against a claim that was never made or incorrectly assumed, but ambiguous enough to become a target? I see this a lot in political debates. Something more technical than a misu

As someone who uses both private snaps and stories equally, I think the update is a mess. It’s like having an inbox that includes a bunch of newsfeed that should be in its own public space. Although not ideal, the previous version does it b
