Having a corporate job is usually a 'mediocre success'. If you strike out on your own with something that involves your passion and you earn a comparable income, you are a stellar success. Don't let a nepo baby tell you other

I'm building a Java IDE for education in the browser: https://reportmill.com/SnapCode I'm mostly doing it as a labor of love, though I have no real users so far. Not sure how to properly get the word out.

Stock buybacks are a great way for executives to further line their pockets inconspicuously and to allow shareholders to dodge corporate and dividend taxes. It does nothing for the health of the company. There should be a cap on executive c

Misled? They were self dealing. The board returned 750M of stolen funds just to avoid prosecution. Friends and relatives of Elon, awarding themselves billions because they were guarding the vault and they could.

I’m an actual shareholder, and I was furious over the 50B compensation package. Musk was already an investor with billions of dollars of incentive to do a good job. It was nothing short of fraud to pack the board with friends and relatives

And another 28% lied about it. I regularly ask people “Read any good books lately?”, half as a joke. Nine out ten people just stare at me blankly.

SnapCode is actually using SnapKit ( https://github.com/reportmill/SnapKit ) which can run on either WebAPI/DOM (in browser) or Swing (desktop). In the browser this helps slim the download and improve performance by

I found and fixed the major FireFox issue and put out the update. There is still another issue I'm tracking down, but it's much better.

Thanks! SnapCode is actually 100% client based right now. It downloads the jars and the CheerpJ JVM browser runtime and runs on the local machine. Files are stored in the browser index-db. There is a preview feature for using drop box and I

I think this is some kind of CDN caching issue - that reference was removed from the launch file last week (but I've gotten a couple other reports). How did you work around it?

The browser certainly has unparalleled deployment advantages. Though for sustained use, I would recommend going desktop (there's a download link on the page). Java still does good desktop. :-) Or maybe using new "Web Apps" fe

My apologies to FireFox users - it quickly hits an exception. Will fix today if I can, but still fine on Chrome and Safari in the meantime.

I have been a huge Tesla fan - we own 2 (model 3 and Y). I think Tesla perfectly executed the barn raising of a new EV car company: (1) Build a premium roadster (2) Build a premium sedan (3) Build a mid range sedan. Each step allowed them t
