The limitations are not really a problem for me. If you're referring to the sporadic datastore errors, that was actually resolved in 1.3.1, by having it auto-retry natively (no need for a decorator anymore). I would really like to see supp

I use it. Pros: - It is practically free. An article I wrote was #1 on Digg, Reddit, etc. and Google charged me $0.11 for the traffic. - Very easy to use. I can rapidly develop production ready web apps with it and deploy it in one click.

This is awesome because it consolidates all of your bandwidth usage, e.g. if two accounts use over 1 TB, you will start getting discounts. This makes my Ask HN obsolete: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1101648 Anyone want to join up

This does not make logical sense. His original argument is basically "they took err jerbs!!" claiming that people who contribute unpaid articles to for-profit companies are unethically depriving "real" journalists of jobs. This follow up a

Wow, I can tell this is a touchy subject for you. I'm not claiming that I know of any unknown security flaws, I was simply proving to you that there have historically been quite a few critical security flaws. Are you claiming that the cur

I don't really see the need to use a pixel font when printing to paper. It's not like a piece of paper has a given grid that must be followed like a monitor (which is not totally true, given sub-pixel anti-aliasing on LCDs). This might be

I will take full responsibility for this. I felt weird submitting my own content, so I asked my friend to submit it on my behalf, which is obviously much worse. I have since learned that submitting your own content is encouraged, so I am

Wait does this mean that LLVM supports C++ well now? Last time I checked at WWDC, it had great C and Objective-C support, but C++ was hardly there. It would be great if Xcode can add support for all of the awesome refactoring and static a

There is not much to rebutt... Apple is clearly pushing HTML 5 heavily. They are one of the founding members of the spec and they have invested countless millions of dollars in WebKit development. Claiming that Adobe is pushing HTML 5 mor

While I'm always glad to see articles created by non-famous people on Hacker News, it sucks when the article turns out to be utterly worthless and riddled with inaccuracies. Seriously, a random Slashdot post is more worthwhile than this, y

Surely in six years, Ogg Theora will be just as good as H264 and computers will have advanced to the point that converting the relevant clips will be quite efficient? This will force the owners of H264 to either create a fair price for the

This is what's great about HTML 5. While Adobe is looking backwards and trying to claim that HTML 5 is not a viable replacement for itself, HTML 5 is actually rapidly accelerating. The H.264 licensing was a deal breaker for Mozilla, and n

"HTML" in this context is meaningless. Are you talking about XHTML, HTML4, HTML5 or what? ;) It depends on the doctype and namespace. In XHTML, an uppercase HR is technically meaningless, since it is case sensitive. In HTML5, it is not c

HTML is not necessarily case sensitive, you can use upper or lowercase tags in HTML 5, and perhaps others. With that in mind, the tags should be normalized when querying what an element is (hr == HR == hR == Hr). Uppercase was chosen: ht
