I checked out their FAQ. Holy restrictions Batman. I've been wanting to do something with score data for awhile but with this many restrictions, why bother? I'll just crawl the data from other sources. Good effort ESPN...

Right, because ~$20 is a lot of money for an embeddable device. If you're looking at this as a desktop replacement/barebones media streamer, then your post might have SOME merit. But frankly, most of us have other plans for these little guy

Any sysadmin going the route of 'job security' through obscurity(i.e., no automation or documentation) should be classified as criminally negligent. My speciality is disaster planning and recovery. I consider myself being hit by a bus a pot

No disrespect, but after a statement like this, "...deployment privilege on a few production machines for testing and experiment.", I wouldn't let you near my servers. That's not what a production server is for.

I chuckled at the obvious satire. However, I have heard of 'sysadmins' that are complaining with less humour in their voices. The 'pure sysadmin' role is alive and strong. Those being forced out by devops are either not very good or the org

I agree, but it might then be nice to offer several alternative TLDs perhaps? Just a thought!

This is pretty impressive. It will be nice to see a way of adding your own domains though. The video was a little hard to see though, but the simplicity of the process probably negates that fact.

One application I spend a lot of time working on/modifying is my crawler. It uses Python's Beautiful Soup. Other applications I use/work on are my master control application. It is written in C and handles configuration sharing between syst

Interesting explanation. Would you recommend Lisp to a C/Python developer who is focused on system applications?

Would you run away if I told you to? Probably not. Would you run away if I told you there was an impending explosion? Probably. Its one thing to tell people to do things. Its another to explain to them the benefits of doing so. Seemed like

I keep seeing all this talk of learning lisp but not a whole lot of rationale. Why should we learn lisp? What will it replace? Why will it replace? etc...
