It's equal opportunity, at the very least. To my mind that _is_ more fair. ...but I disagree with the idea of doping up the entire competing body, for what it's worth.

If you've not run it at all, contacting Steam support (yes, painful) has apparently got a fairly good chance of getting you refunded. (Also you only get one refund / one refund per $lengthy_period)

Yeah, I always see this sort of comment and worry that I'm the only person using guys/dude/folks as a catch-all. Quickly Googling seems to indicate that it's not set in stone, at least.

Daemon, and the follow up Freedom(tm) are a few fantastic books. Don't be fooled by the start - it seems like a bit of a clichéd cop procedural, but rapidly evolves to an interesting glance at near-future sci-fi and augmented reality.

Let's be a little honest, though - this is a spectacular rebrand for 8.2, along with large user-visible changes (not forcing Metro) and some cool backend stuff. A lot of this stuff was originally going to be in the second service pack
