I'm pretty sure there's no "invisible line on the ground". From what I've read, the route simply needs to be mapped at a higher resolution than most roads have been mapped before.

> Hire people - not MBAs or PhDs Completely agree. (Full disclosure, I have an MBA) I really like the way Hunter Walk put it in his essay here: http://www.hunterwalk.com/2011/12/its-fine-to-get-mba-but-do... "It's fine to get an MBA,

IIRC, the law states that if your card has a Chip/Pin, you have to use it. It basically ignores the case of swipe cards. Generally I've found that swipe almost always works, it's just that most people don't know that it does. (And you hav

Amazon probably seemed like a ridiculous name when they started out... why would you name an online bookstore after a South American river? But I think they've done okay. Though this only really works if you're doing something orthogonal t

Wow, they are really hard to find. I found them on Crunchbase, but with no URL. The only way I found their site was through the Treehouse funding announcement on TechCrunch. Social+Capital might be a great VC, but they really need to work

People get hacked and/or locked out of accounts surprisingly often. A good (and tech-savvy friend) was recently hacked, and managed to get thousands of dollars transferred before found it. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if you have a Gmail accoun

A friend of mine worked in the aerospace industry in California. It's apparently pretty standard there to work a 9/9/80 schedule. 9 hours a day, for 9 days over two weeks. It means that everyone gets a three-day weekend every other week.

When did Hotspots.io launch? Did they ever broadly launch? I hadn't heard of them and couldn't find anything except news on the acquisition.

True. But while I'd like to see some third-party auto-updates, I don't want to see all of them. This is the balance that needs to be struck.

Part of me wants this, too. But the other part of me hates it when a majority of my Facebook timeline is just updates from apps, games, and other crap that get automatically shared. This is a delicate balance.

Apple can test new phones and new phone prototypes pretty easily. Hardware can be hidden in new cases, software can just not be shown to other people. Google tested self-driving cars for quite a while; it was only when the NYTimes was abou

I find it fascinating that AgileDiagnosis went through YC, and then six months later through RockHealth. Would any of the founders mind commenting on how/why they chose this path?

I can only imagine they're a YC startup, based on the people I see active there after I registered. (PG, JL, other YC partners) With Demo Day today, things are picking up PR-wise. :)
