Please don't use the R word, which is so deeply emotive and meaningful, in such an inappropriate context.

Better than the rest? Sorry, but parliamentary systems with the executive sitting in the parliament, answerable to the members, seem better than the American system. In Australia, we use the nickname "Washminster" to describe our delightful

The OS X shell hasn't changed terribly much since it was first released. GNOME Shell ("GNOME 3") was publicly designed prior to anyone seeing Windows 8 or Unity (in fact, Unity started after the GNOME 3 development process began). GNOME has

Android is specifically not "GNU/Linux". It's a Linux kernel with an almost entirely custom user land, from the C library up. Sure, some of it is Open Source, some of it is even non-Google-created Open Source, but it's knowingly and speci

"Apache configuration" is the bit that makes your website work better. ".htaccess" is the thing that slows down your web server. People choose odd titles. :-)

Even better (the silence principle): #!/bin/sh imagesnap -q -w 3 "~/.gitshots/$(date).jpg" (date(1) with spaces will be fine due to the double quotes, although it won't be in date order when sorted by name, which would annoy me
