The premise of this article is that you somehow have to respond to it which is nuts. If the letter is ridiculous (e.g. citing terms of service you did not sign) then you're better off to ignore it and not waste money on legal fees. A

Thats a far cry from when they used to check your oil every fill up (because your car was definitely consuming it). You had you had to grease mechanical joints on the body and suspension every 1k miles - now those are all sealed. Old cars

Ford made me sign a contract similar to this when I bought a Bronco sport. I was annoyed the dealer sprung it on me at the very end when I was getting the keys, but didn’t plan to resell in the first year anyways.
