Interesting. What encoder exploded at the large float? I ask because I would be surprised if an encoder/decoder from one of the major languages couldn't handle that.

I was trying to build an online presence as an indie game dev for a while, #gamedev and #indiegames generated a lot of bot retweets. Bot retweets tend to cascade, too - other bots that may have missed the original tweet pick up the retweets

I think it depends on what the JavaScript is used for. I agree that blogs and news site should be static, but forums - and in general, sites with a high degree of user interactivity - can see significant UX improvements with some JavaScript
