I find the FF Dev tools to be much better but they don't have a way to inspect web sockets which I don't use but if you do.

Last I saw the Firefox blocker had a domain block list for removing the ad scripts. It's not as effective as other tracker blockers which heuristics but it's less likely to break the page for users.

It seems like insanity that that is not already illegal. It is in Australia and people still do it, most drivers would just rather risk killing someone if it means 5 more minutes on Instagram

Appart from storage and video, there is just no need to go over USB 2.0. My brand new USB microphone uses USB 2 because there is no advantage at all to USB 3.0 for this device.

There is also the USB 3 versions of mini and B which don't fit in the USB 2 ports. This is part of the reason I have an entire draw dedicated to different USB cables.

This seems correct, the average person ends up neutral in terms of tax but they are able to get ahead by choosing less damaging options.

Saving an afternoon of your time means spending an afternoon working on more things the user wants. With that logic we should be writing web apps in pure assembly to shave off as much loading time as possible despite the fact that in the ti

Trust me, it's not just developing countries having an issue. Even on a super fast internet connection these modern web crApps will make your phone chug while they load 100 different ad and analytics libraries.

Well that either means that the customers had far to much money to waste and didn't spend it wisely, or the product had a monopoly. Otherwise you would just switch to a different provider.

Get what you pay for. I work on some enterprise software with customers paying $1m/year. I assure you they don't get bad customer service.

This gets said about 5000 feature on windows. A good OS doesn't require you to spend an hour turning off 400 toggles only to have them turn back on in an update

How often are people taking a microSD card from their camera and putting it in their phone considering on a lot of devices this means pulling the battery out. Also they could support fat while not having the main system storage using fat.

You can replace the battery on older macbooks fairly easily. Unfortunately now they glue them down so hard it's easier to just throw out the laptop.

What is more astounding to me is not the fact that it happened, but that apple did nothing about it. Years later they are still selling a broken device, and people are still buying it.

Last time this was posted someone pointed out that this could be because when someone dies they don't bother to report "they died but they also got neck injurys which would have caused long term damage" so since less people d

This is becoming more and more of a problem as everything becomes more complex. I remember when I was a child my dad repaired the power switch on the vacume cleaner by going to the local electrical store and buying the exact same switch. No
