I should not comment on this chain, just adding clarity on my behalf... all I've done in my "career" is web related stuff, mostly JavaScript paired with a backend... I've never used BT/BST only recently learned it f

I'll keep it in mind. I used creat-react-app and the built in way to do PWA, although they did update that so I had to do some code updates... some Box thing I forget. (to get cached files to work) Still it's cool to store everyth

Oh I'm not a pro developer man, I'm mediocre. I can get things done but I'm no John Carmack or something. I do have random interests though and write code outside of work in other topics. I guess specifically I don't kno

I'm so glad I have experience now (few years). I remember how hard it was to get in (I'm not from a tech background). I don't have to memorize random things I don't even use in my day job. I agree though I got a 40% rais

Main thing I'm not digging is that keyboard... can you actually use that to do anything meaningful? Maybe if most things are voice controlled or something/copilot. I'm so used to my 1 ft wide mech keyboard.

It's funny I won't accept those "cookies" so I've gotten used to part of SO's screen real estate being taken. Or on a Ubuntu page I do F12/kill the popup... can put that in some kind of extension but ehh..

Probably wasn't clear above, I'm saying they weren't using a swashplate (most helicopters) they were using this little tiny tab attached to the rotor that could be controlled. This thing on kman kmax https://galler

Listened to a podcast about it recently on Hansel Minutes pretty crazy the tech involved with Roblox and the meta verse thing. I don't see myself playing it but when I was younger Runescape was my thing, lost in that world. Philosophic

Interesting I think was straight up using just text or whatever is the default. Though I was using the Dexie wrapper which is nice. To be clear I don't know if the bug was from IndexedDB it was something about length exceeded. I did tr

I made a PWA that used IndexedDB and base64 photos. I ran into a funky max-length issue that was an error from Chromium kind of interesting. But yeah the main problem I had was the base64 images would get too big (if you had too many to loa

I think those have some kind of centrifugal pitch control with a linkage (based on RPM), might have to look at existing designs. There are some helicopter blades that have this same idea, a little moving thing to control the pitch of the ro

Think it's like an elevator on airplane controls the angle of the big one. Easier to rotate the wing than a motor at the root of the big wing.

That looks cool, OSM/(can be) browser based looks like. Wonder if the paths for the roads are drawn automatically. Anyway that's something 3D is just an extruded layer/box I suppose.

side note: I think it'll be cool/crazy to see some kind of city-level planning that models like cars moving on the ground in real time, and things (drones) flying in the air, 3D buildings/space they take up... that would be a
