This is a good point. I forgot about the fact that I took a “speech” class as a freshman in high school, then again as a freshman at a community college. It helped!

I can’t speak to this directly, but I’ve heard from a few people in my company that joining their local Toastmasters group really helped them out. Could anyone speak to that?

You mentioned Net Core, so I wanted to share this. I started a project using Giraffe recently and love it. It’s an F# web framework that runs as a middleware in a AspNetCore app. I found F# to give me a lot of nice functional features, whil

As someone who has been fully remote the past two years, and in a team that is gradually exploring/adopting more async work practices over the past year, I would be curious to hear more too. Our team stopped having a standup meeting- w

You are so welcome. I have become familiar with 200ok through my use of organice, and I very much respect the ethos you all take towards OSS.

I’m kinda done with the JS-heavy frontends. I started my career as a nodejs developer, and spent a lot of time in SPAs in the backbone/angularjs days. The current template at my work for creating a new typescript/react UI is ridic

Been using organice for years. To me, it’s by far the most usable solution to interacting with org files on a mobile device.

It is mentioned that this letter was commentary in a hearing with the CEOs of BNSF, CSX, Norfolk Southern and Union Pacific. I imagine they wanted to use a more formal style to address these business leaders.

I started at a bootcamp-style program. After getting some experience, moving through junior, to mid, to senior level, there was this inevitable progression to learn what’s going on lower in the stack. Over time, there is more opportunity to

That sucks. I had the opposite experience, for those curious. I still have my firewire duet, I’ve been using over 10 years. Works great. It is unfortunate they stopped updating the software. My 2010 mac mini is running OS 10.11, and it work

I just referenced back to this article when I got a text from my frustrated wife. I was able to give her a well articulated reply based on this. This was super valuable for me.

Worked on nodejs projects like this before, where VS was the prescribed IDE. All it does is mix in the worst parts of the VS experience into node development. I would make changes in Webstorm, and then other devs couldn’t see my changes in
