Isn't the worst case global warming scenario a sea level rise of a few centimeters over the next thirty years. Flooding of major cities sounds highly unlikely.

It's liberal doublespeak. They support wars until they're started, then are shocked when they aren't over in two weeks, and people die. Clinton voted to enter Iraq.

I don't doubt their story at all. A few weeks ago my girlfriends car was legally parked and towed. I know that it was legally parked because the night before, I parked next to her and noticed that her parking pass was a different color th

I use chrome because it's fast, and the multi-process browsing is a game changer. I would much rather have to restart a tab than restart a browser. Graceful crash handling is important.

At a certain point economics would dictate that fish farms would be cheaper than commercial fishing due to scarcity. Plus you could probably charge a premium to gouge the hippies for their compassion, desire for 'clean-water' fish, saving

Can anyone in algorithmic trading/investment software suggest a good place to start reading and learning about the subject? In particular, I'd like to learn about investment strategies and algorithmic trading. It seems like many of you wo

Interesting thought. Could be a killer iPad application if you could partner with a hardware manufacturer to produce a cash drawer dock. High quality, capacitive touch screen and a integrated cellular modem for trade shows. Cost wise, it

I think I'll probably end up building something, and if I publicly release it, I would have to charge something to cover the risk from fraud, and the transaction processing costs. My initial thought is to charge between 5 and 10 percent of

Boating in general. In particular, I love wakeboarding, and I have a stand-up jet ski. The stand-up is my favorite. An 800cc, 80hp engine producing 700lbs of thrust in a <400lb fueled vehicle is pretty intense. There is nothing like

Quickbooks sucks in a major way. If you could come up with a simple accounting system that didn't take three full minutes to load, even with an SSD, 4 processing cores, and 8GB of memory, you'd have a winner. Even if your software was rea
