I upvote anything that can be interpreted as opposition against SPAs. From something as naive as a new Django release, to the HTMX manifest, and even an article literally saying "I hate SPAs".

Why not just creating a bigger DB instance in another region for a few months? Sure, you'll take a performance hit, but 99% of users won't notice or care

Go, C#, Java, any of those have the benefits you mention (some, at least) without sacrificing that much early productivity

I don't get the downvotes. What you say makes sense to me. A web-first programming language. Wasn't that the origin of PHP?

The big three of productivity: Django, Laravel & Rails. Second tier, a bit higher performance, yet somewhat less productive: ASP.NET Core; Spring Boot; Node/Express/Nest; maybe Go

Nice project. A couple questions: is it EF Core compatible? Can I save the DB file/files to azure blob storage?

I probably agree with some of the points of the article. However, when you're in a management position, you need some kind of measure that gives you previsibility. Not the best, not the worst. Serves a role.

It makes me so happy to see FOSS providing cutting edge tech for all of us :) This is absolute gold for indie game devs.

In my experience, Azure is a must for .NET applications. Everything is just so well integrated together. You can setup a web/api that's deployed via Github Actions with just a couple clicks. Same goes for webapps build with React&

I remember reading articles like this since 2016 or 2017. How come nothing has changed in so many years? Is this issue not important enough? Or is the solution just to expensive/unpractical to implement?
