I don't know if it's bad form to do feature requests on HN but having gone through a lot of these note clients (see list [here]( https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=13642527) ) the three-ish features that I'd

I actually saw it but forgot to add it to the list. To be honest nvAlt and Quiver are my two favorite and make me sad that I am on Windows and can't use them. They really don't have any good equivalent on other OS.

If you're ok with Google storing your stuff, I have recently switched from Evernote to simply using the Save to Google Drive chrome extension, and it's very good. It doesn't do the whole "remove the fluff" thing but

Pardon my cynicism, but I don't like the idea of choosing a patient you're going to "spend your money on" as a replacement for a basic universal healthcare. Healthcare shouldn't be a popularity contest. As an additi

Turtl would be great if not for the reliance on a server. I think they do some caching (their settings page has "erase local data") but since it relies on a login anyway it still requires an "always on" connection. I ag

You might be interested by [Laverna]( https://laverna.cc/ ). It's not as full-featured as Google keep but it does work offline and let you encrypt and sync your notes via dropbox, which I find to be more important than p

Change job and relocate, even if temporarily! Devs jobs are plenty, and you should take advantage of it while it's still the case. Working abroad for instance is a good way to get out of your comfort zone and keep on learning.

From experience, Lyon, Toulouse and Montpellier are all around much better places to live & work in than Paris (especially if you are just relocating from another country).

We have the same in France, called "alternance" degrees. It's either like you describe 6 months studying, 6 months working or something more short term. You can get into something like that from your third year to your master

Thank you for this. I have been wanting to build something like this for a long time, and never got around to do it, and you made it better than I would have done anyway. As for the import, could you link it to Google Scholar profiles?

It depends on how you define "programmers' fault". In this case it would more a case of needing more training data to correct the mistake, which may or may not be the programmer's fault.

I am as puzzled as you, especially if the taste is as bad as you say. There is one industry that has already been focusing on making "healthy" stuff taste good for the past decades: the fitness industry. Why not just go for a good

But why not go for a protein bar then? Quest bars for instance are delicious (I'd even prefer them to a candy bar), and pack a far more interesting macro profile than the Soylent ones.
