Lower cost of components doesn't mean lower quality. What made the cost lower is logistics and the availability of components within the region.

> China has been celebrating his death. You mean some people on Weibo? Lol. It's also not surprising that some people would view him unfavorably when he denied Japanese war crimes in the past.

Considering how mainland China (PRC) and Taiwan (ROC) are separated, they're more like siblings, with ROC being the elder one.

America dropped more bombs, killing more civilians in other countries than the rest of the world combined in the last 50 years. Oh I forgot it's justified bc they're fighting terrorism, for freedom and/or the killed are brown

This is a terrible move. Virtue signaling at it's worst. Putin literally gives p 0 f'ck about namecheap. It doesn't do squat to him but meanwhile you're hurting regular Russian users for something they have no control ov

Without passing the minimum bar, how does Triplebyte distinguish itself from other 1000 platforms where people post resumes? Also, dissing those who have passed the bar as "engineers who like tests" is disrespectful. When they fir

Can someone enlighten me: with Google being blocked in China, how the heck does one search the term in Wuhan and had it being recorded by Google? I know people in China can use VPN to search Google, but the recorded IP would be the exit nod

I don't work for Azure and having used both GKE and AKS, I can say GKE is superior, however, I don't understand why this comment isn't cool. It's not like they're capitalizing on your misery. It's a decision

It wouldn't surprise me if Azure charges for control plane at some point. Seems like EKS and GKE can get away with charging so why not...

Hey Seth, I know you used to work at Hashicorp on vault. I think Vault recommends that if you want to deploy it on Kubernetes, it should have the cluster to itself.

This is really disappointing. I've been a big proponent of GKE not only to my employer but to my friends as well. I think it's the best Kubernetes implementation available. The justification for a management fee b/c there

Exactly my thought! I appreciate Google's effort in many fields such as distributed computing but in the past few years, a lot of Google IO announcements feel like vapourware/demoware that they're going to scrap/rebuild

I don't use Safari but if I did, I think I would fall for it if someone sets up a phishing website with Safari only showing "Stripe, Inc [US]" in the address bar, but I definitely will not if I was presented with the full URL
