Recognizing the defense is different than combating it. Or perhaps I misunderstood - are you saying that the way to combat it is to point out that they have no coherent theory?

At least as it concerns the EPA, this is wholly a problem in the US. In Europe, new chemicals need to be proven they are safe before they can be used. In the US, new chemicals need to be proven they are bad before they are removed . It&#

Well they should cross Atlanta off their list then, Georgia is 31/50 for schools in the US. Toronto is looking better now! We even have free Catholic schools!

Boredom is a double-edged sword; it can lead to creativity, but it can also lead to drug and alcohol abuse. Small towns and counties are rife with substance abuse and everyone will tell you it's because "there's nothing bette

I'd argue that this is good for the economy. Economies are strong when money is changing hands a lot. If people hoard all their pennies, then money isn't changing hands, business isn't growing, and the economy stagnates.

This is a false dichotomy. Just because the regulations we imposed in the past made things burdensome, doesn't mean that regulations we impose in the future have to be burdensome. I'd want to understand why they're burdensome

Java was literally dying before Google released Android. It was just something you did if you were in university or working on a legacy system. Everyone was moving to Ruby, JavaScript, and C#.

This isn't a comment about snap chat, moreso about how shitty the camera API is for Android. Yes, it is faster and more reliable to take a screenshot of the camera app.

Definitely a tough question because of people's nostalgia for the older versions. Civ 4 is the best version of "classic civ", so if you want a modern take on 1, 2, or 3, go with Civ 4. Civ 5 was dramatically re-developed. Ins

Well, here's my take on this; A disease is only a disease if it causes you dis-ease. Some people howl and wail about a paper cut, others will continue through the day with a broken limb as if nothing happened. I am sure the same can be

Thankfully, Uber exists. Otherwise I'd have to download and register on all sorts of dinky city-specific apps any time I travel. Uber, for all of its faults, is the only one that works in every city I've traveled to.

Right, so I think we should make a distinction between "healthy choices" and "eating healthy food". I'll agree with you that McDonald's is providing healthy choices. But just because the choices are there, does

None of the "health" benefits you listed have any objective benefit to health. How does listing a big mac meal at 1200 calories suddenly make it more healthy? Eating non-frozen beef does't magically reduce the risk of colorec

I have a theory that corporate food companies slowly remove anything of value in their food. In the next 100 years, McDonalds and KFC will be serving us nothing but fructose-infused sawdust with varying levels of oils and wax to hold it all
