How dare you have a moral objection to buying from a state accused of genocide. Please stick to completely organic complaints about comedy festivals and soccer tournaments.

I had a similar problem too. Was unable to find anyone who was willing to quote me on a heatpump when I was installing my air conditioner. I assume it will be better in 5-10 years when I have to replace them.

Is there any value in fixing the battery on these? IE: Do the other components last long enough to be worth the cost? It seems like procuring the battery is not as expensive as the Tesla battery (I see someone who did it themselves for $6k

I can respect that. For what it is worth, I validated with a well-trusted local shop that works on EVs (and works with Tesla) that said the issue is starting to pop up. Moreover, it's the government of Korea that is making this claim

I am a bit more concerned about batteries now as opposed to an year ago. We had this article from Elektrek [1] about battery issues in South Korea. When I asked my local electric maintenance shop [2, sorry for the FB link], they said they

My "real lived experience" with a CarPlay device that I installed into my 2016 Toyota Sienna is that it was slow, annoying, and I actually removed it. You can have it for free if you are in the Calgary area, my email is in my prof

I used to feel this way, but nowadays I've come to realize that Carplay's UX is inferior to my iPhone's UX on a mount. As long as I have Bluetooth or Aux-in, I'm fine. (That isn't to say that I think GM will someho

> The majority of marriages end in divorce This is pedantic, but if I understand correctly, this is not true anymore. Moreover, this number is inflated by a set of people getting divorced multiple times.

I can guess what it means, but it sounds like a pastiche and an exaggeration from far right activists that are trying to portray leftists as being out of touch.

This is a joke right? No one refers to people as "melanated POC", do they? I actually got in spat with a coworker once at a previous company for politely and sincerely asking what one of these neologisms meant (latinx in that cas

I'm sorry about your wife. There was scientific basis for N95 masks and similar masks. If you are talking about cloth and paper masks, I mostly agree. Even then there were tests done with using even those surgical masks with 3d print

I used to agree with this line of reasoning, but then I saw that the same process was used to block war crimes investigators from using Microsoft's software.

Thank you, 100 times this. There was literally nothing fun about it. I remember desperately trying to put drivers in high memory, because Wing Commander 2 needed more memory if I was to get the precious images of the joystick moving. Slow

Yeah, likewise. Claude has been going downhill recently for me, while Codex works great. I nearly cancelled my ChatGPT membership until they started providing codex, and now I'm considering if I want to use Pro again. It's weird

Everyone refers to FB and IG as the representatives of social media. FB is a ghost town, and IG is a major advertising online. (I also have said nice things about using FB while in Japan, all of which stand for the time in which I said th

I've had this same issue happen repeatedly. It's not a big deal because it is just for small personal stuff, but I often need to tell it that it is doing the same thing and that I had asked for changes.

It isn't the sentiment, but rather the omnipresence of the most extreme version of the sentiment, that makes it seem artificial. It's not as if states like Iowa voting for a conservative figure is a surprise. (They voted agains
