A trollish and aggressive board would be 4chan, Something Awful, Fucked Company, or Twitter. Phoronix strikes seems to be a niche board with strong opinions; basically the same as any BBS I used to visit. Calling it tribalism and accusato

This is an egregious misreading of the parent comment. Someone in a position of economic vulnerability isn't going to invest in housing to rent out if there is a non-insignificant chance of damage to the property. Moreover, this uncert

While I agree with you, I have seen practical cases where sensing an array of items in the get parameter of a web server is handled differently, similarly to what the parent comment mentioned.

Not the op but the point was for the benefit of the site dev. I'm sure you can understand that I would rather keep uBlock on than diagnose why it may have broken on your site. While you may be completely trustworthy, there is simply n

> The real problem is that the police never were about fighting crime for the masses. The police were always about fighting crime for the rich. The police intervening in a domestic violence situation is not beneficial to the rich.

There are two issues with this way of thinking. First, if police don't try to track down all theft, then there is going to be favoritism. Hope you contributed to the ball! Two, If there is no meaningful way to attain redress, you invi

Wikipedia feels like a weird cross of social media, Ted Nelson's Xanadu and good publicity. Opinions will show up; if the opinion show up in another media source, it can be repeated as fact. Moreover, Wikipedia has its own social grou

At the risk of taking this off topic, yes, Teams is by far worse. Just the authorization process is shockingly bad. Here is a previous comment from k_sze about it. This is for a security process, so there is no excuse. https://n

While I agree with a lot of what he says, I also think there is a bit of wishful thinking when it comes to "world class leaders". Just like you can't hire the top 1% exclusively, your leaders won't be top 1%. Chances ar

It's only fraud if you have a functional legal system for the item in question; I think some comments made demonstrate that there is a distinct group of people who unironically feel that is not the case.
