this was a problem involving multiple parts, unit tests normally don't catches this. You need an integration/functional test and that can be much more time consuming to write for all "integrations" and code paths.

You don't always know youer server arch and OS. If you sell solutions to others they may choose the server OS and you might want to support as many as possible.

Js and WebAssembly are both quite compact, I don't think many apps will be more than 10-100 MB. Of course they may contain extra data such as images for the ui or translations in text files but those can be downloaded on the side and c

I see this as a non-problem. How many people can really rewrite the jvm from scratch? Or just take over maintanance of it? Or take over go? Etc. The number of commits and pull requests for .NET from outside MS seems to be increasing all the

I have tried commuting on an e-bike and it worked really well but I would still like the top speed to be increased to about 30 km/h (could be 33 km/h to match the US rules of 20 mph). In Sweden there is a secondary class of bikes

Yes, this can work well. You still have to be careful and not mix people that has to do a lot of phonecalls or loud discussions in the same room as developers.

The main problem is that everyone around you hears the question and the answer. This can create more discussions but it probably disturbs a lot. Especially when you place different teams in the same open space. Suddenly you are disturbed by

This kind of tool should probably be distributed as a binary but then it would be a bit harder to know it doesn't do anything strange. I would probably write it in go to make it easy to compile for different platforms.

Because you are used to it? Why change if everything works. It takes some work to re-learn all keyboard shortcuts, for example.

I think json would be much better than csv. At least allowed. It's still text and possible to open in almost any editor but much better for hierarchical data and more complex data.

Russia would become larger. Putin seems to think that Russia should be larger than it is today. The Soviet Union was larger than Russia is today.

I've been more curious if anybody actually loves Java. Ok Java 8 seems to be fine but do people really love it? And did they also love Java 7?

Actually other languages evolve too. C# 1.0 is not the same as C# 7, Java 1.0 is not close to Java 8 (which differs a lot from Java 7) and soon Java 9 seems to add more changes including new module handling systems. I think that core js evo

I tried to order an Anker power bank through Amazon but they don't ship to Sweden. When I found a local e-shop the prices was almost twice as high. I assume they don't want the Swedish market.

I think Glimmer/Ember have lost already. React is fast enough for most things and then there is Infernfo and Preact that are faster right now. If you mean a larger ecosystem as in number of libraries I would guess that the react ecosy
