Look at the tests for inferno, it is close to js + dom for some things and inside 2x factor for bascially everything if I remember correctly. The main thing is development speed anyway, fast enough while still easy to write and maintain cod

Probably finding the right place of the dom to change and keeping track of what to change. React basically says "make it like this" and takes care of a lot of things. jQuery code is well known to be hard to maintain when it change

If a large percentage of your users have IE/Edge you might want to tests these early on, or even develop with them.

An interesting question is why Google did not start to use Haskell and promote it. Did they also think it was too hard or did they not see the benefits of it? Or something else

Depends on the parents and the kids. Some kids love to play on their tablets and others prefer 3DS or similar. You can't say that no kids (or teenagers or adults) play on tablets.

Agree. But it is strange that the law limits the power and top speed (or top speed with the motor helping). I should be allowed to have 750w motor on my bike as long as it is not helping after 25 km/h. I do think they should lift the r

They are mostly done in order to free the ui "thread" to avoid getting ui freeze. The event loop is fast enough for most concurrency things in js client applications as long as you divide the tasks into smaller things.

And funnily enough mercurial is today the most scalable of the two. As an example Facebook uses it for it's monorepository. Not sure about the scalability of of git-helpers though. What features were you missing, by the way? Mercurial

You do remember that Windows is the dominant os for end users? Almost all ui's would have to be created for Windows, and possibly for the other operating systems also. That's probably a lot of extra work.

Google Nearline seems to be $0.01 / GB / month which would be about $24 / year for you. Sounds good since you can retrieve data whenever you want without any extra cost. I would probably use that for my backups if I ran out

Funny that people complain about js performance. In this benchmark it was 3 times as fast as php7 and about 7 times as fast as java 8. Have not checked the details of the benchmark yet.

SQL Express is free in itself. You do have to pay for the Windows OS on all servers though but that has little to do with the application.

Have you tried riot? Or mithril? Small and simple. Regarding react I don't think there is anything in react itself that says that you have to use es6 and an advanced module bundler (like webpack). Just use es5 code, place everything in
