Yeah, this is the site that made me realize just how awful so many other sites are. It's very fast indeed, and has no useless graphics or javascript effects, but is 100% functional and looks great.

Still not changing my websites to https. They don't need to be "secure", they are not going to be "secure". I consider this a broken stupid change.

Wow, If I get spammed an hour after trying something, and then again after a day or two that would be it. No chance I'd EVER use their product even if it was free.

I took a look again at D this last couple of weeks and it was a way better language than I remembered. It seems like a very solid language. You can write low level C like code if you really want to, but it defaults to safer, higher level co

Yeah, it wasn't intended to be a well thought out list. It was meant to be "just start and iterate" but a little more specific :)

I'd think about it like this :- 1) Write socket code to retrieve the page from a server 2) Get it to draw the text in a window. 3) Write code to look for tags and start diving up the retrieved file into a proper DOM tree. Perhaps start

"For the iPhone, there are four different radio interfaces that could potentially be used for malicious purposes: the cellular modem, Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC" Well, GPS only receives... so how is it going to detect that?

I can understand self driving cars eventually being practical on long simple roads. But I can't even imagine how one could get to my house. My road has cars parked on both sides. Sometimes vans. Sometimes they almost block the road. So

WebAssembly will not revolutionize anything. It's like java where people claim it's as fast as native code, and yet every single program runs like a dog and takes 100 times the resources. Only worse because it runs in a browser.

Very nice. But nobody is going to use it as it's solving a non problem. Nobody has any issue giving people an address.
