I use MediaSoup to bridge between ffmpeg and WebRTC. It works pretty well, and I like that it’s all node based.

I use Papago from Naver. It doesn’t support as many languages, but it’s Korean translations are far superior to Google’s.

I also struggle with this issue, but I've never heard the term "the curse of knowledge." I'm happy I have a name for it now. When you try to explain to people that it's difficult to understand that other people don&

Yes, that makes sense. I was just wondering if the target virus is already RNA encoded, if that provides any shortcuts. It sounds like maybe not.

I see, thanks for the reply! I was thinking that maybe because Covid is an RNA virus, there would be a shortcut to getting the mRNA sequence for creating the spike protein. The scientists could peek at the RNA in the actual virus, recognize

Does the fact that Covid-19 is an RNA virus make it easier to target with an mRNA-vaccine? Could this technology also be used to target a DNA virus as well?

This particular incident happened in 2009, when HFT was still relatively new and very profitable. These days, it's much more competitive and I doubt you could justify such an investment.

Thank you! This is very helpful! We are doing mostly 1-on-1 calls, so I'm considering if peered connections would be better. They're certainly cheaper. I hadn't considering simulcasting multiple quality streams. That's s

This is great! I just spent the weekend researching WebRTC for a language learning project I'm working on. I have a few questions about SFUs. Maybe someone here can help. 1. SFUs seem to be the clear winner for multi-party calls. Do th

There is really no good answer to this. Just keep trying stuff. My language learning website (www.captionpop.com) was ignored by HN, reddit, and the other random places I posted it. Finally, I put a post on producthunt and it spent the whol

These are the affected counties: https://twitter.com/GavinNewsom/status/1282780070323515393 Notably, San Francisco isn’t included. Probably because SF hasn’t opened up as much as other counties on this list.
