flat maps are not quite what many assume they are, some panacea for performance. In fact for most cases, you will still benefit from using the ordinary maps already provided in C++. In fact if you merely swap out std::map with std::flat_map

No, it won't be Reactive Native or any other. There are no cross-platform UI wars any more. There are efforts at this, all with huge compromises, but working with a native UI toolkit on any platform will always offer a superior develop

And in C++ can also use this dead-simple header file for a nice high-level, modern threadpool using function objects (lambdas) for very easy parallelization of arbitrary tasks: https://github.com/progschj/ThreadPool

I would recommend one of the Herman Miller chairs. They are not cheap but they are high quality. They don't fold but they do have wheels and are easily washable with lots of water, built like tanks, just fine for the outdoors.

So did I… are there no original names left? My company used the other Bracket extensively for years. Also at first confusing is that the logo is the very recognizable Apple II logo.

Ah, that could be it. I did not know the history, nothing in the article makes that point, not that it would need to I guess for people who already understand the history of the language.

I'm confused about the comparison here. I've never heard of Mojo before, but reading this and all the discussion of the main languages on Apple's platform, you'd think that Mojo was somehow an alternative for development

Ah, another “why I’m leaving X” post, I’ve never seen these kinds of posts as particularly fruitful regardless of the language they go on about. Engineers can assess the pros and cons of a technology for themselves based on their needs, and

1994 already feels a tad late in my memory, everyone at my high school already had email in 1993, and we knew several families with internet in their house by 1992.
