I may be missing something, but it sounds like the only benefit to Yarn is that the lock file is less noisy, while NPM has better guarantees. Who wants to deal with keeping absolutely every developer and every build/production system o

Evan seems to be everywhere and doing everything all at the same time. He is very impressive.

It's my fault. I probably should have written "-less" to make it clear I was talking about the suffix. As for the "fewer" vs "less" thing, I'd say most people get that wrong.

Fun fact: "less" means "without", not "fewer", which is what you meant when you said "less threads".

I switched a reasonably large project and there were many gains with no loss. They've all been said before by me and other people, including in this thread. If you don't see them it's because you don't want to.

I thought about making this a year ago but I'm working on another project. I'm glad someone made it.

From the article: >Always heavily consider open source alternatives (something which didn’t exist for Firebase at the time… but now alternatives like Horizon and Backendless exist, for example.

I don't know their reasons for WinFS, but I do know that Everything's authors figured out a long time ago how to get great search with Windows' current FS.

I'd really like to know why Microsoft can't do something like this in Windows itself. Everything is very useful.

When I was studying organic chemistry we'd use funnels as filters all the time. I suppose most people wouldn't know about that though.

You are right. AM does seem specifically for sneaky commitment-breaking, which is one reason I think they are scummy. I also believe it bad to cheat on a commitment. I suppose I lost my point, which was this shouldn't be illegal. Not a

No one loses anything in this case. In fact, if the couple is okay with it, you could consider it a gain. Your analogy isn't even close. By the way, I mean no disrespect. My way of thinking used to be more similar to yours.

I have hyper installed. I think it's fantastic. The only reason I don't use it is I usually open a terminal through VS Code but hyper doesn't open in the correct directory.
