I feel like fail2ban failing open is a good thing. If it fails closed you can't SSH into the server. If it fails open it's just as though you aren't using fail2ban. Actually, my biggest fear with fail2ban is it failing and lo

I agree. It has gotten noticeably worse (for me) every month for several months now, possibly years. The algorithm picks such rubbish for my timeline I'd probably rather see ads. I mainly use Facebook for the messaging.

That looks good. According to your FAQ the main disadvantage this has compared to Elasticsearch is not being able to scale horizontally. Have you considered using FoundationDB as a storage layer to match that feature? Disclaimer: I have no

By "mobile" I mean Android. And since Android has many browsers "Desktop view" may or may not exist, and if it does exist and can mean many different things. I don't bother to use it because I never found it to work

If you're on mobile, I'll save you some time. There is no way to locate the pricing page. And yes, the navigation menu is completely empty. I was able to get on a desktop and find the pricing page. Here's a link: https:&#x2F

I'm not sure how this reminds you of the eel, but cool video. Thanks for sharing. I especially like that the eel recognised her after 3 years.

I was wondering how they could tell the age of the spider so accurately. It seems this spider has actually been tracked for decades.

Now Google Pay is doing the same stuff. "Hey, did you know the store across the road from you right now accepts Google Pay?" No shit. 99% of Australian stores accept it since it works just like a credit card.

I wasn't going to pay hundreds of dollars per month to change the colour of a button. I did mention that when they said some rubbish about it being for security etc. If it's insecure then why allow it if I pay more? But yeah, you&

Shopify lied to me while I was evaluating it and said if I signed up for a subscription then they'd allow me to fix the colour of the checkout button. They host the checkout process on their own site and automatically swapped the text

It does get quite complex when you need plugins. I use the abiosoft Docker image and that has simplified it again.

Your pricing being cheaper for people in developing countries is interesting. I quite like the idea behind that. A few Euros is practically nothing for me but for some people it's a week's worth of food.

The scrolling physics were different to every other app I used. This was the same over many years with many different android devices. I don't know what else I can say about it.

Unfortunately the Firefox car, running on Android fuel, has awfully weird driving (scrolling) physics that for some reason are different to every other car. If they fixed that I might be inclined to have another look, but they've had m

To prevent other Australians getting confused, I don't think "SA" here means "South Australia" (the state just under NT). Probably means "Saudi Arabia".
