I can imagine the board meeting where they were discussing an alternative "high" they could offer the drug addicts.

I only routinely use 2 devices. I'm very heavily into the tech scene and could afford more devices if I wished. Some people don't live in a place where it's easy to afford multiple devices. Many non-tech people don't eve

Sorry, what I said was probably confusing. I meant, I keep the password to KeePass in my brain and in backup places. I'm unlikely to lose all those. >Also, it's not a big problem if one of your devices dies, as long as you pair

That's an interesting point. I've never worried about helium much mainly because it is inert, but I suppose not having to hang upside down to flush it out is a plus.

That's pretty interesting. It's a trade-off between remembering a password and making sure you have enough devices. I personally would trust my brain (and a backup piece of paper) more than one of my devices that might die at any

Ah. So you essentially need 2 devices to set up a new device.

Yeah. That's what I don't want. So how do you prevent someone doing just that? They have Chrome open. They then confirm setup in Firefox using Chrome on the same device.

I can only assume that the people downvoting this comment didn't see the comment I replied to before it was edited. The "5 minutes" thing was a direct reference.

> Yes, PostgreSQL is a mature project. But that has little or no bearing by itself on what degree it can scale; Linux is just about as old, yet it still drives most of the infrastructure we're talking about. I knew someone here woul

It always seems to be either their storage abstraction (Ceph?) or Postgres. I've never used Postgres but from what I see it's not really designed for enormous scale (it's a very old project). Perhaps they would be well served

It's intended that you compare the returned full hashes. Otherwise why would the API even return them? This URL is the entire API. Just change the last parameter to whatever 5 characters you want: https://api.pwnedpasswords.

I could run the business just fine without Google Analytics. Would just be in the dark a bit more. I'm not associated with EU so I haven't pondered on this as much as others. My first thought is that this should really be up to th

I use GitLab.com's CI/CD extensively. I guess the downtime was when I was asleep or something because I've never seen a day-long outage.

Can confirm. The website is much faster and much nicer than it was a year ago. Also, I don't think GitLab has had a long downtime recently. At least not for any of my projects.

This looks awesome. Does it work with CockroachDB? Because I was imagining something like Knex when I read "interface for" I'll mention that this is a Graphical User Interface.

I've always just looked for one that doesn't use jQuery. Haven't had trouble finding one for at least a year. Nowadays I always find there's already a Vue component that's a wrapper for whatever library.

You might be impressed with Namesilo. They've always had Whois protection for free as long as I've used them. .com domains are something like $8 per year.

I had heaps of issues with Kubernetes. I moved to Swarm a year ago and have had a grand total of 0 issues. It can do everything I need.
