Wow. I couldn't stop paying attention to it in fear that I might miss something he says. Any other of his talks or interviews that you might recommend?

I just watched the video of the interview on the bottom of the page and to be honest I really dislike his tone. The extraordinary gift part just topped it all of. How do you expect a user of your service to respond to that? Should I say tha

The demographic is vastly different now. Imagine this sorta thing goes on the 6 o'clock news which parents would interpret as a hazard to their family's privacy. Most of the current demographic will not understand Facebook's privacy setting

I remember emailing Dharmesh after he made that post. I was still in school and had just started getting absorbed into the startup culture.

I've been in love with JS ever since I started with it in '06. Learnt about closures, prototypes etc all through it. Loved the FP side of it so much that I went and read SICP as a result of that. On a side note I recently wrote up a sliding

I think a large part of that was the growing popularity of Twitter, the low barrier to entry for creating these clients and that Twitter.com took a rather minimal approach. Most of the Twitter clients early on were built just because the cr

I saw this through Twitter, essentially the same thing that I have but done with just one input element. It works only on FF though. Still very impressive - http://twitter.com/dtinth/status/11969821668

A quick note about the markup: initially I was using the Google style pseudo rounded corner buttons that used 3 nested b tags. So part of this design was just me being lazy. But later I realized the alpha blending on the borders meant I nee

That is exactly the type of audience I want to write it for. I've just started doing design recently. And writing this post helped articulate my ideas. But more importantly I think it can help developers get into design by using a more prag

Shameless plug: I spent way too much time working on CSS3 buttons for Cadmus. It doesn't use gradient property but it uses a bunch of others that people might find interesting - http://blog.anomalyinnovations.com/2010/03/creating-a-realis.

To be honest I don't see what is wrong with saving $2.99. In fact I think it would be silly to go spend $2.99 on Tweetie when you know it is going to be free soon.

Watching Randall and moot at ROFLcon I felt the same thing. They both have quite the power over their audience. Randall just needs to draw it and moot just needs to say it.
