Yeah chaining is a way to do it. I've recently gotten addicted to chaining though. So now a lot of my functions look like this. A listener for the timespan navigation that Cadmus has: 'onNextTimespanClick': function(e, el) { return

The one thing that is constantly overlooked when it comes to the practice debate is the reason why they were working hard in the first place. It is rarely a case where two competing parties just put out x amount of hours on practice just fo

I'm gonna brag about my co-founder @fanjiewang. This is what I filled out on our YC apps. * Co-starred in the film Air Hockey (2005), which was played at the opening ceremony of 2006 Air Hockey World Tournament hosted in Las Vegas ( http://

I tried it and liked it. Great job! But I too am a bit iffy about the FB login. Mainly cos I feel it might post stuff to my wall. I am sure you guys don't do that. But I wanted to put it out there since that might be a concern other people

I liked it. Good job 37s. They constantly work to grow their brand and have fun while doing it as well.

I would be really like to see the HN community do a project collectively. Come up with the idea, design, develop and launch it. It probably sounds more fun than it is going to be. But it should be cool.

Thats a good point. My understanding is that Cassandra is ideal for write heavy scenarios. So it is interesting to see a slightly different use case.

Its kinda cool how David mentioned they use Google Spreadsheets for their team task list (if I understood correctly). We do the exact same thing at our startup. Two founders, on one spreadsheet with 3 columns, date---founder---founder and w

Thanks for clearing that up. We have been dealing with the weird spikes as well and so we were a little iffy about Cassandra on EC2.

I have read that Cassandra needs good IO performance to do well. So I am wondering what type of performance you guys are getting on EC2 and what are the sort of things you have done specifically in regards to it (like RAID). We are looking

I would like to know what they have learnt from all this and how they are going to deal with cases like this in the future. 'Cos it seems to happen a lot and their way to respond is by "making a big stink".

The author of the review touches on pretty much everything that I think is wrong with the "37s philosophy". There are some spots in the review where it feels like the author got a little carried away. But a bigger problem is that if you are
