I got pretty far down that path during Covid for a feature of my saas, but limited to specific product categories on solid-ish backgrounds. Like with a lot of things, it’s easy to get good, and takes forever to get great.

I don't think VR is all that different from smartphones at the time of the iPhone launch. The Quest has sold over 20 million units. And at the time of the iPhone launch, a lot of people still had "camera phones" and "fea

The first iPhone was a toy. It wasn’t until the second version (iPhone 3G) + AppStore that is really caught on with existing smartphone users. I have a Quest and have used other VR systems, the Vision Pro felt like a huge leap forward comp

Power is also a concern (at least for sailboats). While there are certainly other 12v computers, that is one of the pluses for rPi in this.

So, a modern Apple IIe? I used a Comodore 64 plugged into a black and white TV as a kid. This would be the same kind of thing. Sure, an iPad could be the monitor, but so could your TV, or an actual monitor. A computer with storage and inp

I love devcontainers, I just wish performance was better on Apple M* chips. Granted, it’s not really a problem with devcontainers as much as it is with docker mounts. But that makes devcontainers terribly slow when the code is on the local

I also don't see how this is different from devcontainers, which are like codespaces, but without it being hosted on a server.

I’m on Azure, it’s still Microsoft. I like a lot of Microsoft stuff these days that plays nice with open source dev tools. Azure doesn’t get in the way of that, but my defaults are not their defaults. I’m perfectly happy with AKS. Their Pos

Thank you for building this! I am really excited to try it out on a backlog item this week. It seems like you really nailed a sweet spot. Analyst first reports as a product that can be extended / enhanced by devs, and both can continue

Or maybe some sailing experience. It didn’t sound to me that they are active sailors. Will there be a keel or any other foils to help create lift to not just get blown sideways? To me this seems like solar roofs on electric cars. An obvious

Valets park cars all day long. And they back in. When you are parking, you have much more visibility of oncoming traffic, and the other drivers see you more clearly too. When backing out, you have less visibility and are less visible. It’s

I will never forget buying my Real Book in the early 90s. I bought it from Cotton Music in Nashville. They pulled it out from behind the counter in a paper bag. 14 year old me felt so cool, like I was joining a secret club.
