Heh. Your comment made me just realize that my Pixel 2 doesn't have a headphone jack. I've had this phone for months (a year?) And never noticed.

I disagree. I was a Linux guy before I was a Mac guy and now I find myself a Windows guy. My Surface Book is solid hardware with a great keyboard, all-day battery, etc. WSL is to the point where there is less weirdness building libraries in

And those are important questions, because they get at "how can I make sure this doesn't happen to my company"

The company presumably filled the position b/c they needed additional help in order to meet their goals. Being willing to wait 3 months in the first place seems like a great indication that they value you as a potential team member. De

But our churn is really really low with an average subscription length several years long. So 12 months at 10 months fee is less than 12 at 12. There is work to help people update info, etc. And an annual check or ACH would save card fees.

I'd love to know the same question. We are making our way to $1mm ARR and have very low churn, but no annual billing option. Do you give a discount at all?

I wish this ran in Windows so I could use it with WSL. WSL desperately needs a good terminal.

These issues with bonds have nothing to do with crime prevention. And whether or not you are pissed off has no bearing on how an innocent person should be treated. Oh, and in the US, every person is innocent until proven guilty in the court

What is and isn't a violent crime is already well-defined. Mugging is a violent crime, but shoplifting isn't. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Violent_crime

It does neither of those things.

Or dispense with prison in the vast majority of cases.

Faster due process has a much bigger impact than tracking people down (which is both expensive and dangerous). There will also likely be an increase in "no bond" holds until the court date. This is a step in the right direction, b

I can't think of good sides to the bail system. What positives do you see.

Only as evolutionary as adding autonomous driving to a car with cruise control.

Not the person you are replying to, but I have a use case that I think optic would be good for. I'd like to have a two-way sync between business logic code and a flow chart for documentation. Something like the slack push notifications

I have too many customer relationships on Facebook. It's my own fault for creating a Users Group for our software on Facebook. If it wasn't for that, I would delete my account.

Will be interesting to run this my own app, just to see what various third parties show up.

It's a matter of timing. You don't hire a CFO on day 1 b/c you don't need one. On day 2 you start to balance the needs vs the expense. Sometimes you take a risk (intentional or not) a delay a little more than you should.

by jaxn 8y ago
Except that your expenses ARE wildly skewed by a 50% increase in labor some months. Maybe smooth is fine for modeling, but when making decisions of when to spend or not spend, you need to know when you will have money. It could be that dela

I agree with some of the reviews that mention the need for calculator and camera. I would say that phone and SMS should be easily accessed as well. Then, the 2 app limit would work. (I'd choose our app and our support app)
