My grandma, she's 90 something, and you can bet she's got more hours on Candy Crush than a professional eSports player has on their MOBAS or FPS. Companies that think games are only for young people are leaving a lot of money on t

I love my T440p, and as a Linux machine it's great. But full disclosure, it's not perfect, a few drawbacks to be aware of: * Batteries can be hard to find, and they last 6 hours at most. * No USB-C docking capabilities (but you ca

I really felt this story as someone how had to abandon coffeescript like 8 years ago in a similar fashion. The syntax was easy, simple, and enoyiable. But at the end of the day, when you implement something like react or angular in real pro

I think the E3 made a lot of sense in the time when most game news were trough magazines... but now, official channels from developers and console makers have an enormous reach so they don't have pressure to follow an external calenda

Sadly vendor lock it's a hard pill to swallow by design, making the switch harder. Most people already have a lot of apps purchased, exclusive messaging apps, or workflows that are too embedded into a platform.

Yes a no. A Sandy bridge computer (something like a 2500k i5) it's still perfectly capable to run as a home computer (and even light game, or pro tasks). And if you add a light distro to the mix and a GPU, it's even better than a

I think paid it's the wrong word, but I agree that at least they should offer drivers for the hardware you own. Like if I get an AMD card, they provide drivers for Linux, and windows. At least they should for devices they don't pl

Projectors sometimes create as a side effect a soft anti-aliasing thanks to the blurriness of the reflection, that makes them look a lot less pixelated than their native resolution, similar to a CRT. It's an optical illusion that if yo

I think people who hate PHP, forgot how painful it was to develop server side apps before PHP. I think one of the greatest legacy of PHP was brining "Serverless" hosting to the masses, where you only focus on the "upload"
