Wow, from the title I thought that article was going to take the opposite tact (ie, you should be building a business, not an R&D lab). Very interesting though.

It really depends on your projected userbase these days. For instance, in a couple of my projects, we aimed at a small subset of users (autistic and/or adults with disabilities in this case) who would have a good reason to have JS disabled

Well, that works well. The draw of Drobo is a RAID setup though - in some cases, RAID provides a significant performance boost, and, at higher levels, it'll survive more than one drive failure.

I doubt that we'll ever find a "reason" for aging. It's the result of an imperfectly optimized biological system - after all, humans are the result of one great big evolutionary algorithm. We've proven time and again that those run exponent

The super high quality stuff will take an extra minute or two to download, but you won't have to pay a licensing fee for it. I'm not so sure about that. Yesterday's analysis seemed to predict some questionable usage of H.264 bits in the e

Many talented developers are getting paid by Google to solely hack on Chrome - to add new features, to make it blazing fast, and to make sure it is well supported. The fact that it is open source is kind of a nice little bonus - Google-spon
