Here's a cached version from Google. Seems some of the pictures didn't make it through though :( http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:YvdCxzu...

Look: I will fully admit that these sets are really, really cool. My son is getting a gigantic Millenium Falcon set from Santa this year (DON’T TELL) and both my wife and I are excited to play with it too. But it’s a model kit. We will put

It would probably be technically "possible" but I doubt that you'd end up with anything that sounds listenable. The only bootleg audio that usually sounds decent are soundboard recordings, and when you find audience tapes spliced in with th

If it has the right software and is easy enough to use, I can see this happening. Given the choice between a $400 iPad and a $200 Kindle Fire I think I can see a lot of people taking the cheaper option. Whether it is sustainable will depend

There isn't really any way to dovetail client-side validation with server-side validation. Client-side validation should always be assumed to be disabled completely - view it as merely a convenience for your users. Help them switch dates in

This is awesome - I've been searching for somewhere to find good new SF/Fantasy for a while that doesn't just entail blindly searching Amazon.

If anything it's a minor coincidence that the World Trade Center was destroyed precisely 28 years after a Chilean revolt. The two events have absolutely nothing in common with one another other than sharing an arbitrary day and month of the

Why was it necessary to put 9/11 in the title of this? I think knowing that the economy was computer-controlled was enough to get me to read it - I don't think the sensational title was really called for.

Better to spend your time petitioning for campaign finance and term limits - our only hope is getting enough people in office who are smart enough to do the right technical thing and who aren't reliant on the industries they are responsible

The issue with this sort of thing is Joe Public is never going to understand the underlying issue with software patents. Without some politician complaining loudly and simply about the wrongness of an issue, nothing is going to change. Unfo

Am I the only person who can't find any hard information about the project on their website? Everything seems to talk about the principles of the project - I can't even find a decent picture of the settlement's current state.

Ok, that is way too addicting to visit during work hours. I drew a standard bell-curve peaking in 2007 and then trailing off to zero into 2011 and everything was either Myspace searches or Washington Mutual credit searches. Pretty nifty.

You missed the part where creating that valuation metric is becoming harder and harder due to an increasingly chaotic and fast-moving market.

A lot of these CSS posts reference the performance gains realized from using CSS transforms as opposed to canvas because the transforms are hardware-accelerated. How long will it be before canvas gets hardware-accelerated? Is there a techni

Wow, this is an awesome looking site - wish I lived in one of those cities. I am running on a resource-constrained computer right now - my only complaint is the JavaScript seems a bit slow - scrolling on the main page is choppy. Might be wo

This paper served as a great introduction to Go programming for me. I've been trying to work through my own basic program in Go for the past few weeks and their overview of the language features used cleared up a lot of loose ends for me.

It probably depends on who the publisher is. I would imagine smaller publishers would probably give better deals as a way to entice talent, whereas larger publishers like Random House would probably have a much bigger paper-publishing busin

Google is still planning on making Chrome OS installable on other hardware, right? I already have a thin and light laptop that I'm pretty happy with - hopefully I can install Chrome OS from an image onto it to tinker with.
