I am working rolling my own with Struts/JSP. It seems pretty straightforward (hash pass, place on server, and check against), but I need an easy way to compute an SHA hash in-browser, so the server doesn't have to receive the pass in plaint

Sure looks like it to me - the peaks on the graph are too close together to be going by months.

I am from the United States - anonymous and pseudonymous protections wouldn't apply to this case of slander/libel and/or criminal harassment. Anonymously outing someone against their will does not fall under the same protections that critiq

Glad to see I'm not the only one who read the document. I don't see how the police really screwed this one up that much outside of one poorly-worded section of the warrant.

Caps are perfectly fine as long as they are sufficient - but what happens when the ISPs want to better utilize their bandwidth, and decide to lower their limits, rather than increasing their capabilities? There's no regional competition to

The growing complexity of Facebook is confusing ME. Granted, I haven't been active on it in a while, but I went on it for the first time in a couple of months and it took me far too long to figure out how to change my profile picture. I thi

Apple is also one of the few companies that comes out with unique hardware. When you can start from your own simple designs it is possible to engineer unique and genuinely more useful hardware (see: the new battery in the 17in Macbook Pro).

Its hard to imagine a large group of CS majors managing to maintain a Unix desktop suitable for development when pre-class discussions in senior-level classes involve people complaining about the difficulties involved in compiling from sour
