I don't know where that came from, but that's not a flash drive and never was. It looks to me more like a D-Link USB wireless adapter. I have a nearly identical one to that, except for a different hardware revision. That one looks like a

AWS kicks ass, but it doesn't (yet) offer scanning-tunneling electron microscopes or particle accelerators to the best of my knowledge, which might be what grandparent was referring to?

Maybe, or maybe not, but this is nowhere near as offensive as blink. This is fairly subtle, and if put to a greyscale series, it would be barely even noticeable except as some neat lighting effects.

backbone.js work may suddenly become very relevant to some work I'm about to do, so I might be counted in that number. I'm having a hard time finding really solid examples with things like backbone and node (moreso node) because of how fas

Utterly 100% disagree. Scott Adams posted it, and part of publishing anything comes with the responsibility and acknowledgement that it is subject to judgement. If it had been snapshotted by the Wayback machine, who is being disrespectful?

Alternate title: "How not to get a job" Both concepts mentioned apply in almost any employment situation. A good employer (that is, one that you would strive to work for) will only be as engaged in you as you are in them, and as you are in

I'd also accept "I'm doing it" from a Great programmer. Somewhere in there should also fit, "Let me teach you how to do it too."

There are still a number of DTD headers which can throw IE6 into quirks mode, where the bug still exists.

That's a very neat looking concept, and congratulations on getting it out there. I don't see any link between a dollar price and the purchase of credits, however - could you add or address that? (It seems you get 360 credits for 8.95 but do

I'm seriously having a hard time conflating the snark of the submission title with the respect owed to Dr. Kildall. This: "Gary never wanted to file suit against Microsoft because he always believed that in the end excellence in programming

Good catch. I didn't notice the picture accompanying the article until after I'd posted, and I searched for "bitherist" rather than "birther". Apologies to OP for overlooking their meaning.

I think my math was right (unless my compound interest calculator was wrong) but I did make a typo - the investment would have to be $600 per year at 5% compounding interest, not $500. Sorry 'bout that.

I don't fully agree with your math. Mine is potentially no better, but: A single customer, spending $500/year on whatever it is you do, wherein you make 5% compounding profit off of their $500/year, nets $100,000 in 45 years. I feel that'
